I believe the true victory in all of life is found in every step we take in faith, day by day, and sometimes minute by minute. Life is precious, and we have been given this moment, this day, to take one more step in faith. I appreciate the gift of life, and believe that the love of Christ is waiting, every single minute, to uphold, inspire, comfort, and carry us.

text on back: As I sat in the Labyrinth Garden at West Clinic in Memphis, prayerfully quieting my heart and sensing the Spirit's presence, I knew that breast cancer would impact not only my body, but also my spirit. I walked the prayer labyrinth before each of my treatments, and each time I was reminded of Psalm 16:11, my "life verse." Chemotherapy is not a path which I would have chosen for myself. But for 18 weeks,
it was my path of life. I found more grace, peace, and joy than I ever could have imagined. My joy is not dependent upon a thornless path, but rather upon Christ's presence with me upon the path. While I took my treatments, I painted flowers.
The flowers remind me of God's gift of pleasures forever, and His presence with me,
even-and especially-through chemotherapy.

While going through treatments for breast cancer, I enjoyed taking my rest outside and observing those beautiful little birds. With longing heart, I watched them coming and going... And I found such comfort and assurance that God's watchful love in Christ is constant. That is why all those precious birds know to come to my yard for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
